God spare us from busy, fanatical swine
Obsessed with the many and blind to the few;
A pox on their grandiose global design.
But caring? I’ve seen what caring can do.
Caring lacks patrons or mountain of aid,
It’s lonely and wearing and dirty and hard,
With rarely a nod for the difference you made:
If you care, go look in your own backyard.
